That meme spur posted about football fans actually trying to have a decent conversation before bama fans show up to ruin it for everyone keeps proving itself how true it really is.

I have never thrown anything at an opposing team or their coach. My comment was referring to the few alabama fans that ruin every discussion on this forum. Not something none of us had anything to do with.

I think yall are the echo chamber. There's not many Tennessee fans left. Or fans of any team for that matter. The bama fans have run off pretty much everyone with their constant trashing of every thread started here.

I left the sports forum for a year or longer for that very reason.
I would post a topic that I was hoping to discuss with some sports fans, all I would get was exactly what your meme shows.
Glad you think you're accomplishing some great mission to save us Vol fans from ourselves. And by me replying I'm sure you'll say that you have a one-up. What's wrong with unreal expectations? Gotta have something to look forward to. If not, we wouldn't be true fans now would we? I guess we could go ahead and jump on a bandwagon like some when our team doesn't win. It's not all about winning to me…..it's about loyalty and a couple of generations of tradition in my family. I don't even know you personally but you seem to be kinda passive aggressive on here. I totally agree with your statement. I can respect your loyalty and fanship. Lived through much of the same as an Alabama fan growing up. From 94-08 were pretty bleak. This stuff is taken too personally when it's literally just ribbing on one another. Do you not ever give your buddies a hard time? I see it on here in other forums constantly with folks ribbing on each other—nobody acts like there is any mental anguish caused by such until it happens in the sports forum; then it's like a bunch of catty women with their panties in a wad. If it personally bothers anyone that much then it's likely best to not read it or respond. It's not that hard.
When UT comes back around I know exactly how it will be because it's been that way before at the peak of the program in the mid 90's and early 2000's. Your fanbase has just been too beaten down to remember the glory days.
The meme that keeps being referenced can be an effective representation of any team who's successful at any given time. It's just easy to single out Alabama fans because of all the bandwagon folks and the unprecedented success over such a long period of time has quite literally caused fatigue amongst nearly all other fanbases outside of probably Oklahoma, Ohio St, and Clemson.
Then censor all the other fans so y'all can be happy

Passive aggressive? The first time I peeked into the sports talk forum on here all it was talk about vol this and vol that. No mention of other teams. I posted something about ALABAMA and was told I needed to get out..that this was a tn board and it was about the vols. That was like 3+ years ago. And here we are. Talking about Sports. I post about several of the college teams and lots of sports news. Although I don't watch the NFL I follow the NFL and post about that from time to time. So save me from the passive aggressive talk. Ive seen it.

grown men that are constantly talking bama this and bama that, are top notch. get a hobby, go outside, do something other than crap on every thread that is made. my daughter has full academic scholarships coming in all the time and is looking at each and every one of them except bama. and it all boils down to the trips we make to destin and the armpit of america we drive through to get there. You guessed it alabama. She hates that state with a passion, and it is all the perception she has of it from just passing through.
