Was told TWRA set duck season dates, Nov 28, Nov 29. 2020 Dec 5 thru Jan 31,2021.

I'm sure Reelfoot has got their typical early opener. Does anyone else think it's crazy they have a special hunt just for that place?! I've never understood it.

I think it's in order to give them a shot at the earlier migrators that pass through.
On that note, had TN ever tried a short early season around end of October/first of November?

I was hoping for a statewide weekend in Mid November. We've had a lot of ducks around then but they leave before it opens

Same time every year

The past 2 years the West TN refuges have held record numbers before duck season opened in November. But it seems like once the season opened some moved out and we never got more ducks back in the area.
