Guess i am not the only one changing gears. I am looking forward to it this year. I hope i have time to hunt.

X2...I'm even more excited this year since I will be going on two out of state hunts.

Im ready.. started thinking about it back at the beginning of December. Got a new call on the way and got a few strikers coming in this week. Bought a boat load of Hevi shot on clearance a few weeks ago.

Alabama to hunt the Tuskegee national forest in march and Kansas to hunt rio's in May. I gained permission to hunt 500 acres of private land out there, supposed to be covered up in turkeys so we will see.

I'm doing the 870 Compact 20 ga build. I already ordered the shurshot stock. I still need to buy the guy at Walmart.

I'm thinking about cerakoting the barrel and receiver and possibly dipping the stock. Although I may do the mossy oak gun skin like I did last year.

What call did you get? I picked up a Lonzo stoned aluminum and have a Ghost Maker crystal on order.

Brad Roberts Poplar Bronzed Glass over Aluminum.. Ordered it in December and he just finished it last week said it was ready to ship this week. He said it is a killer.

That one is on my short list. I've read a lot of positive reviews on that call.
 
Yeah I heard a lot of great things about it as well.. heard some sound files of one from Brad and really liked it. He sent me one from the poplar and the zebrawood. My next call will be an aluminum, and I have been looking into those stoned aluminum from Lonzo. Which wood combo did you get?

You'll love the stoned aluminum. It's super user-friendly. I have a Dawkins one in plastic and a Lonzo one in osage orange. The Lonzo one also has an aluminum soundboard. I think a Lonzo stoned aluminum over aluminum in ziricote or wenge would look awesome and sound even better.
