Florida State sophomore running back Dalvin Cook was named the winner of the 2015 Jim Brown Award as the nation's top running back, the Touchdown Club of Columbus announced on Friday.

Cook ranks second in the nation in rushing yards per game (150.7) and leads all Power 5 running backs with 7.9 yards per carry. For the season, the Miami, Fla., native has an FSU-record 1,658 rushing yards and 19 total touchdowns, and joins Reggie Bush (2005) as the only Power 5 running backs with 1,600 rushing yards and a 7.9 yards per carry average in the last 35 years.

He tied a Seminole record with his eighth 100-yard rushing game this season last Saturday by totaling 183 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the 27-2 victory at Florida. The Gators have the nation's No. 7 rushing defense, but Cook gashed FSU's rivals for 150 yards on 13 carries and both scores in the fourth quarter alone.

The 5-11, 200-pound running back is a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy and All-America honors and( is averaging an incredible 194.3 yards per game versus FBS teams with a winning record – the highest average in the nation by nearly 40 yards.)

The prestigious Jim Brown Award will be presented during the 61st touchdown Club of Columbus on Awards on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Downtown Columbus. For additional information concerning the TDC and their 61-year history, visit www.tdccolumbus.com.

What does allegations mean? Leave it to a Gator to try and twist everything. Stats speak for themselves. You ever win an award Gater. No ,not for participating,a real Football award. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: ---Go back and read the arrest records for your uf goaters :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Yep he is a bad man,A jury found Brown guilty of hitting his wife's car with a shovel during the incident. He was fined $1,800 and sentenced to three years' probation and one year of domestic violence counseling, according to CNN. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Not to worry Baddnole. Someone will come along and pick through you list and point out who was accused of something. It won't matter or be mentioned if they were found, like Cook, not guilty.

Nah, but thanks for giving me the opportunity to reply.

You see, I value principles more than personalities. One must only to visit the second post in this thread to realize that concept is lost on you. Your posts routinely contain accusations but never the whole story regardless of guilt or innocence.

I am beginning to think your motive is to promote fiction rather facts so as to invite reply. Your tactic of posting controversial remarks and often misleading information, ultimately gives more exposure to your signature and thus your business interest. Brilliant, but distasteful nevertheless.

It's amazing how many charges dalvin cook has had against him dropped. Must just be a bunch of jealous haters trying to bring a talented young black athlete down. He obviously din du nuffin neva. Florida's justice system has proven it. He a good boy.

Define many.

He asked for a trial rather than agree to lesser plea. If he would have taken a plea deal his career would have been over. If he would have been found guilty at trial his career would have been over. Given the climate in Tallahassee, it was a ballsy move. When the jurors heard and saw all the evidence, not hearsay, he was found not guilty.

Wow.... Lol

First of all I just post an article about Jim Brown. I didn't write it so there's no conclusion that I made. It's been well documented that Jim Brown has been involved in several altercations. Of course the post was a joke....????

As far as promoting my business, I would be better off staying neutral on this site and kissing butt. I didn't join this site for that and not my style. I was a member way before I ever sold anything.... :)

I'm not misleading at all because "none" of us really knows the facts if these guys are innocent or not. I'm not going to run around here and pretend that I know if they are guilty or not. That even includes Gator players.... :)

There's no reason to get all upset about college football and players that we don't even know. Every team will have players that will be arrested and that's just the way it is... As soon as a UF, OSU, UT, Bama, ND, and FSU player is arrested. It will be posted on here and that team will be made fun of...

I value a lot of other things then getting upset about a college football team. There are several of us in the Sports Forum that rag on each others teams but you would of never figured that we are friends and personally know each other... :)

I'm guessing my definition of many is different than yours. I would consider "many" to be more than one when you are a famous athlete that is a role model to tens of thousands of children, maybe more.
His career wouldn't have been over if he took a plea. No one seemed to care when he was torturing pit bull puppies in an obvious attempt at training them to fight, or possessing and discharging firearms at school functions, or armed robbery, or shooting out windows. But, like you said, found not guilty. No video, no proof, no crime. He's obviously just getting picked on by haters.

HOGWASH---where is your proof ,or links to back up your claims. Discharging a BB gun at school that didn't belong to him. Having puppies chained ,was charged and fined. Being an associate of someone waving a gun????? LOL ,nice push there. Your hate is obvious. Too bad. This is the same thing from 8 months ago .You need new material.100 other players at FSU. You failed on this one,try another.
You graduated from Western Kentucky, parents are ND fans and you follow Vanderbilt. I'm sure there are plenty of bad apples for you to choose from. :tu:

What are you talking about? What proof do want me to come up with? Links that show what he's been charged with? found not guilty badnole!
I didn't graduate, I pretty much flunked out. My parents are bad apples for attending notre dame? Smh

Come on mudbone, you are pretty smart. You are just to modest. You know GnB. How about when you accuse ,pretend you are in court and show the evidence when you slander a young man. I will accept your charge against Willie Taggart, but you must prove your claims against Cook. I already acknowledged the BB gun and chaining up the pups while he was gone for the day(he was charged and paid his fine). Oh,and that is a nice picture of you and your daughter. She will be a heartbreaker, but you need a different hat. :tu:

I am not understanding fully. I am not saying the guy is guilty of those things. Just that he was charged and the charges were dropped or dismissed or whatever. The robbery thing was when he was a juvenile. He does have a pretty long list of dropped charges and some of them are for things that would have landed him in jail for a while. The discharging of a firearm at a school function was not the bb gun incident. Cmon badnole you're smart enough to know what I'm talking about. The guys a great football player and if he can stay out of trouble he will have a long successful nfl career. I need a new hat? I'm lost.
