Not sure if this is the right place or not for this post, but here goes.

What would you like to see changed for 2015-16 for hunting rules? Mine follow:

A daily big game permit. $33 is a lot of money for a couple days of hunting. Maybe a $15 opening weekend permit?

For Unit A, multi week habitat based either sex hunts. Instead of one week in Morgan County then the next week in Scott with 1/week, a 2 week hunt in North Morgan and South Scott keeping the 1/week.

Primitive equipment hunts of some sort.

Floor is open.

do away with stupid doe week hunts at Christmas!!! If I can kill a doe with a rifle let me do it any time during the rifle makes no sense to have to wait till Christmas!! :stir:

If TWRA wants to make the majority of hunters happy, make the whole season all weapons, nearly free license, allow bait, and have no bag limits. We will have the best harvest numbers in the country :stir:

I think the season and limits are fine. TWRA does a pretty good job. If anything we need to have a more conservative season-less can mean more.

2 buck limit and make an early primitive weapon or shotgun weekend in mid October... Let shotguns be use during muzzleloader season.. Otherwise everything else is fine with me..

Move the last juvenile hunt from January to the weekend before bow opens. Temps would be much easier on the kids and gives them a good chance before the deer are hunted

Change the traditional bow season opening day to the first Saturday in September.

Change the traditional muzzleloader season opening day to the last Saturday of October.

Every year... :pop:

leave everything alone, except open bow season 2-3 weeks earlier, so the guys that want an any weapon season have something to complain about... :poke: :stir:

I like it the way it is. Perhaps the only change would be to extend the either sex rifle hunts in Morgan/Scott Counties to two weeks. Dave, we are in unit B not A!

Opps... Well, make the Scott and Morgan either sex hunts one hunt, by habitat, for 2 weeks and keep the one doe per week. That habitat idea has a good bit in its favor.

Legalize the sling bow! 45 pounds shoots regular arrows, comparable to a recurve but super compact. should be legal.

I'd like to see a 2 buck limit for sure. Decrease the antleress limits in unit l to 1 a day. I would also like to see a late bow or muzzy season. Cross bows for disabled only.
I'm actually happy with it now, nothing to complain about. Just worry about the Liberal doe limits running the population too low in certain part of counties.
If I'm dreaming I would also LOVE for unit A of PPWMA to be archery only, with a antler restrictions, and open all days.(recipe for success IMO)

One buck limit and it must be 8 points or better. Liberal limits on does.
this ain't a trophy hunter state, this is a deer hunting state. you'd piss off a whole lot of people putting a statewide antler restriction. I wouldn't piss and moan about a 2 buck limit, but sure would cause a fuss about a 1 buck limit. But I like it the way it is.

Also if you're going to limit points, 8 point doesn't do much for trophies because a top end yearling will often have 8 points and will never make it to maturity under such antler restrictions. This is why presidents island has a 9 point limit because the majority of 9 point bucks are older whereas there are plenty of young 8 points roaming the woods.

I cannot stand that table in the hunting guide that charts the antlerless non-quota hunt dates. Ticks me off just thinking about it..,,
