I wish we would open bow season the 1st weekend in September like Ky. I would love a chance at a TN velvet buck.

Personally I wouldn't hunt in the heat of September if I was paid to do it.

Same here. I don't even get the hunting bug until mid-late October.

i wish they would open it around october 15th or so. september is just too early in my book. i want to give the bucks time to shed velvet, drop the red coat and get a couple frost behind us. as soon as the maples turn, it is time to hunt

Wow! I just noticed that there is a gap between juvy and the ML opener this season! Archery only for the first Sat in Nov?! Strange compared to seasons past.

Needs to be a purple block for pistol-only hunting, and an orange block for spears and atlatls!!! Occurs every 5th Wednesday on months with a full moon, except on even-numbered years when Democratic presidents are in office.

Heck....i have always hoped and wished it would open back up with muzzleloader/archery, after the Juvy hunt in Jan, til the end of the month!

We need a lot more yellow and a lot less green! ;)

I'm thinking the whole month of Sept should be green... ;) I would like to see the yellow start earlier this year though.

I agree more green in sept and yellow the last week in Oct!!
