Talked to a buddy yesterday via text.
He made the following comment.

In 2 years KY and TN will be numbers 1 and 2 in the nation.
They are building big time.

What say ye?
 
Like the sound of that but both teams still have along way to go, but you never know everyone was shocked the way AUB stepped up last year! And the way miss st. Has this year! Need are freshmen and 2 year guys to play even better next year and are new freshmen to step up and play like 5 and 4 stars.and dobbs stay healthy:)
 
Not likely.

A) I don't think Stoops will be at KY much longer if he continues making KY a contender. A "bigger" football program will grab him, just like Franklin at Vandy.

B) While I love Jones recruiting and ground work he is laying at UT, there are still several in-game decisions that make you scratch your head. But, I am happy with the improvement.

I don't see that happening, especially not both. Auburn wasn't bare when Malzahn took over. Both Tn and Ky pretty much were. I think the vols will be competitive in a couple of years, especially in the SEC East. Can they do anything when they get there is the question. Also, it's one thing to get to the top and another to stay there. It's harder nowdays than it was in years past as so many top Juniors leave these days. See LSU and Alabama. The Mississippi schools will find that out this year.
 
I don't see it. The recruiting just isn't there for Kentucky. However, Mississippi State has pulled it off with similarly ranked recruiting classes, so who knows. With the right QB, good defense and some luck, anything can happen.

Ron Zook had the top recruiting classes in the country. He was fired after an 7-5 season... :) Is CBJ UTs Zook... :)

Zoom... Was 8-5,8-5, & 7-5. That will get a coach fired at FL.
 
Muschamp 4-8 last year and you said he could save his job with a SC win this year if thats true that would put him at 7 wins this season with the FSU loss and if you count the game they didnt even play as a win lol.
So if that would get you fired at florida how come
7-6, 11-2, 4-8, 7-5 wont? Its not a whole lot better besides that one year 2 years ago.so it might get some people fired at florida but not everyone lol. If muschamp really can save his job with a SC win

That would be 8 games they won if you count the game they didn't play. They are 5-3... Beat SC, Vandy, W. Ky, and lose to FSU. That would be 8-4 by using simple math.
 
O I was one game off sorry still not much better lol since zook had 2 eight win seasons lol and always won atleast 7 games.
Zook in 3 years 23 wins
Muschamp in first 3 years 22 wins
So you can look at it however you want not much different.

Not sure that 8 wins will save Muschamp job but it makes an interesting debate. The Mizz game might be the game that gets him fired. 8 is much better than 5 or 6... :)

Numbers 1 and 2 in the nation in what? Teen pregnancy and unemployment? ...I'm kidding. not likely they will be #1 and 2 in football.
 
Did Zook have to play 22 freshman? Did previous coaches leave such a young team to start out on? Don't think so. Butch is doing as good as any coach could. I wished he had played Dobbs against florida , Butch is 2-0 against ole ball coach!

Considering we would be competing with Alabama for those two, id say we wont be 1 and 2. Bamas got it covered.
