Christmas day on my lease in MS. As bad as it's been the past 2 years, I actually have 9 birds that will be 2yos come spring using the place! Only problem is we took 2 new members this year who are turkey hunters....

BUT.. juvie season opens Mar 7th, and my 14 yo daughter gets 2w off for spring break... here's to hoping I get her tagged out before the grown ups :)

I'm glad I am not the only one ready for turkey hunting. I also use the strategy of taking my daughter to get some birds before the pressure kicks in.

I ended up hunting 6 different counties in south MS last year before finally getting a bird on the last day of season... and went 5 weeks without a gobble. I hope I NEVER repeat spring 2021.
