Was fishing at a city park lake this evening with a buddy and one of his friends. Well I had some hits and didn't notice the other guy getting one too. I had already caught a bullhead and thought I might have my second. But I seemed to get hung up after reeling a bit... guy brings in his catfish with his hook and my hook in its mouth. My line went from the catfish's mouth out about 10 yards into the water and then back to my rod. Meanwhile, my buddy who had his line between ours, got his line tangled up in our lines. It was a mess for a bit. Got mine unhooked and untangled from my friend's line. Started hauling and reeled in a stick that my line had been caught on out in the pond. The other guy got the hook out of the cat and released it, then got my buddy's line all untangled.
In other words it was kind of funny... bullhead took 2 hooks full of worms in a row, my line got caught on an underwater limb, and we both caught the fish and got a bunch of line tangled but all fixed up in the end. I ended up catching 5 bullheads including the one I half-caught. They were biting great, but too bad the lake is pumped with effluent water or I would have brought some home to eat.
