My good friend taught me to be very patient to hang out for 2-3 hours after fly down and soft calling every 20-30 mins then move on if nothing is responding or comes by. If a bird is in the area, he knows you are there and will come later to check if you are still near

Tried that yesterday and called up 2 hens but the gobbler wasn't in tow unfortunately.
