went out til noon this morning just to have the gobblers responding to my calls and moving away, like usual. got home and had nothing to do so i headed back out and was set up around 3:40. instantly i heard gobbling and sat tight. 5 mins later a jake walks up to my left. no more gobbling and i waited to see if a tom would come out and nothing. well by this time ive had my share of sitting in the blind seeing nothing, i figure what the heck, its for fun not for trophys. i dont have a shot so i wait for him to go behind a tree. he finally does and i stand up and nail him from about 50 yrds. dropped him cold. now maybe ill get onto some mature birds for the last 2!
