Tag #2 was a mid morning burner. 600 yards down the ridge this one was gobbling his brains out while I was working another bird. I left the other bird and found him. Got in close enough each time the wind blew and watched him show off and stand behind a tree for 10min before he came my way and the hammer dropped. It's been a good one

Congrats!!! If I recall correctly, you got your kid on one, maybe 2, and now you. HA just awesome. I'm taking my daughter Saturday to my FIL's place and can't wait! Sprayed all her camo with permethrin earlier today
Yes sir. He tagged out on 2 different wmas during juvenile weekend. Goodluck to yall. That permethrin is a life saver.

Hard to leave a gobbling bird for another but kudos on doing it as it paid off. Congrats!
That's true for sure. The bird I left just wouldn't commit(field bird). I actually left him once when I heard the other bird for the 3rd time I just couldn't put a pin on him so I came back to the other and he still wanted to stay in one spot. Once the bird I killed gobbled for another 5-10 min I was set in on him. I like timber birds a lot better.

I'd choose a bird in the woods all day over a field bird.

Deer or turkeys... you are a pubic land killer. You can stay in the woods by guiding me to a bird. :)
