DA, I don't know so much about that. Does are pretty much home bodies. I don't know how much they'll shift out of their home ranges for lack of food but I don't suspect much. Bucks may not either for food purposes but for finding does during the rut they will. If you shoot most of the does out of your area the bucks may not be there during the rut although those that are may have to move more to find one of the few does left. I just don't think that would equate to better or more buck kills. I'm all for keeping the standing population at no less than 1 doe:1 buck. With bucks having a higher natural mortality rate than does this means you should probably shoot more does than bucks but just what percentage of the herd that is depends on whatever that buck mortality rate might be.
