That would be one dead deer on my farm. Little miss show off would have been next had she stuck around.

If its brown its down.

There are still many people who will come from (other places) to hunt the public land around here and will shoot their 2 bucks, yearling spikes or 3 points because they want meat for the freezer. I don't blame them for wanting the meat really but a 2 buck limit won't make them more selective. Most people don't even kill more than 1 sometimes 2. Only people around good areas to hunt will pass up a good deer because they actually have a lot of deer to hunt and know there's a chance for a better one. I live and hunt in such an area and have passed 2 good ones this year but neither had anything to do with the limit, they both were passed for completely different reasons and I'd have shot both given different circumstances.

I love this 2 buck limit. They should have done it a long time ago.

He sure does Greg. How can you say that buck is saved. Just like DA said in the other thread any number of things could happen to this deer.

Saved at the moment. A buck has no chance if he doesn't make it past the first hunter. You sound like my old man. He always said someone else will shoot him. However, a majority of the bucks he passed showed up the next year and he finally changed his mentality over time.

Good job catman523. It's nice to see people who exercise restraint based on their personal goals rather than relying on the government to tell them what to do.

There you have it, being smart enough to make decisions based on personal choice and not simply what somebody tells you! Ive never understood why some cry for lower limits while filling the larger limit themselves every year! LOL If you want lower limits shoot less deer where you hunt, problem solved!

You like keeping the 2 buck limit crap stirred up don't you??

He just like to regularly emphasize the fact that he wasn't going to exercise restraint by limiting himself to two bucks until EVERYBODY ELSE had to. :D

One of the bucks I passed would land me with huge fines, no bow or truck if I had shot him. Lol...other one I agreed not to shoot to let him grow another year.
