Not really a food plot topic, but prob better here than elsewhere.

5 weeks ago I came up to visit Dad and do a little summer maintenance. New property has a ton of interior roads/ paths to interconnect plots and bedding cover through the poorly managed timber. Always tough to keep them open, but I've found 7oz Remedy plus 26oz 2,4D per 25g tank and hand sprayed works really well. Absolutely nukes everything except grasses. Do the every other year to keep your interior roads from growing shut

I just bought 3.5 gallons of 2,4D. All sorts of broadleaf weeds and grasses coming up in our new plots. Plan on doing 2 quarts / acre of gly and 1 quart / acre of 2,4D. Hopefully it kills everything. Will spray and drill hopefully Labor Day weekend if rain is forecasted. For our new interior roads, nothing is growing - basically a gravel bed (mostly bottoms of hollows). I'm fine with that until erosion that will eventually set in. At some point I'm sure grasses will establish and 2,4D should promote those grasses in establishing root systems helping with some erosion control. Bushhog 1-2 times a year and good to go

You are fine with gly plus 24d unless you have some very woody growth coming up in the new plots (privet, Hackberry, gum, etc)... in that case you need to go with Remedy plus roundup... but need to wait 2 to 3 weeks before planting if you use remedy

None of that nasty stuff coming up. Remedy is some serious stuff. I nuked a field full of serecia with it and it looked like the Sahara desert for over a month 🤣
