Had another good night. 41 in about 4 hours. Big fish of the night was a 30+ buff.

Very cool Tim! My oldest is chomping at the bit to do some shooting, has even asked for the equipment for his b-day in March!
 
I'm sure he will love it. The night fishing is about as much fun as you can have without being naked! If you end up getting him some equipment, give me a yell and I can help you find some decent deals on all of it. 41 in 4 hours is a fish every 6 minutes, unless I'm wrong. Very cool!

This bowfishing thing fascinates me. How deep can they be and you still hit em?

I'm not discounting 41 in 4 hours, and I'm sure Showme will agree......but if you get in'em right you can do much better than that. My best is 117 in 3 1/2 hrs with 3 shooters, but that pales in comparison to some shooters I've seen!

As far as the depth goes, anything <2 1/2 feet deep and I can cosistently hit fish pretty decent. Past that, shot/fish ratio drops significantly.....Same as with above paragraph, I've been with many that were much, much better than I am.

Thats a slow night with two shooters. When it's right, you shake the fish off and are stuck in another within seconds.

I run 8 150 watt high pressure sodium lights off the front of my deck. The lights do not attract the fish, just lights them up like a Christmas tree.
