1st Official Yote Hunt

The boys and I bought the Primos Turbo Dogg. We went this morning and had a great time. 1st set seen nothing. 2nd set only about 100yds from the 1st hit play and about 5 mins. there stood a big yote and of course I missed. We had a blast this is the first time other than squirrel hunting that we all get to set together. The Primos Turbo Dogg seems to work well, don't know about distance with the remote we were in some thickets so we could not set the caller to far off.

Don't feel bad.... I took a friend of mine on his first predator hunt yesterday.... it was my first official predator hunt where I was hunting and calling..... set up and within 5 minutes of calling, a nice one showed up sitting in the woodline looking out over the field we were hunting.... coaxed him on in to about 75 yards. I was hoping my friend would get a shot with the shotgun, but the coyote turned and went back towards where he came form..... he stopped at about 120 yards... and I rushed the shot.... missed 3 times before he got into the woods on me.... I think I got in a rush and over compensated the yardage... my AR is set for 200.

Glad you guys had a good time.... we did as well, even with the misses.

Way to go-good hunt anyway. Those coyotes will make you miss and it is easy to rush the shot a bit-I know that all to well!! PH

I mentioned you telling me about your coyote hunt to my step son, wrong thing to do! He said, "We need to start doing that, cause I'm bored waitin' on next deer season to get here already!" Should have kept my mouth shut!

That's funny. I have been a couple of times since we met and have had no luck at all. I can't even call in a crow
