I'm not gonna go into a long story, but have seen a ton of spikes and small 4's this year and let walk. I've been hunting 3 years. Hit a big 10 last year, but unable to find him. Followed slight blood drops for 240 yards per app. Then missed a 6 as well. After shaking like a leaf for a few min watching him walk down a ridge I dropped him in his tracks. Perfect Heart shot from about 140. Left as excited as a kid in a Cand Store haha. Not a monster, but mine.

Congrats! When I don't get excited seeing deer reguardless if its a doe or buck then its time for me to stop hunting.
 
Nice deer! Ive been hunting 3yrs as well. Last yr got my 1st deer an 8pt. Still lookin this yr though.

If the day comes when I don't get excited and shake a little myself, I'll quit hunting! Hope you get another real soon!
 
Ain't a thing wrong with that deer! Especially for a first buck! And the excitement is what it is all about!

Mowen ,I've killed over a 100,and still get excited,when you lose that excitement it's time to quit :party:
