I have an old sportsman 400 in my shop that has not been run in the last two years. The last time I ran it, it would get hot quicker than normal, and it had began to start smoking out the exhaust I guess due to the rings being worn out. I started taking things apart in an attempt to fix it, but never really followed through with things. It is still sitting there with the racks and covers etc. removed. It would still crank and run when I started tearing it down. Is there anyone on here that knows how to work on this machine at a reasonable price. I would also consider letting somebody take it off my hands. Any idea how much money it would cost to get it back in decent shape? Of course I have rode the crap out of this thing and everything is worn out.
