Like Poser I have not been to the new restaurant but Bounty should be good. Chef Kramer did wonders at Interim.

As far as Q goes the really good ones are not on the list.

Anyone like All In One BBQ on Kirby? I had their q at a party they catered and it was pretty tasty.

You mean "One and Only"? I understand they do an excellent "not-pit-smoked" que, but I've never had it.

One and only is my favorite BBQ when I'm craving pork. Good selection and the service is wonderful. Very nice folk. My favorite Mexican is Salsa. If I want a steak, I got to Jim's Place of Jim's Place Grill in C'ville. Good steak without paying an arm and a leg. But my tastes are simpler. We hit Cracker Barrel about once per week. Before Tiger round ball games, Miss Polly's on Beale for Chicken and Waffles. Love, peace and chicken grease. Burgers, still go to Huey's. Simple, cheap, good and owned by a wonderful family.

One and Only doesn't smoke their meat. Its not terrible, but I'm not sure you can call that BBQ either.

All I know is I love their food, smoked or not. They've got brisket, turkey, great smoked sausage. Plus you get greeted when you walk in the door. Central and BBQ shop are good. Rendezvous treat you like a second rate citizen unless you are one of their regulars.

I should have mentioned, the best BBQ sandwich is still Tops BBQ. Their burger is great as well.

My bride and I have eaten at the Perkins and Poplar location twice and the Kirby location once. The ribs are tinder, juicy and tasty. I'm not sure how they are cooked but man they are good. I could be wrong but I want to say they use some kind of cast iron cooker.
