Does anybody do this
I have a chance to get some ipe shafts spine is 85 # and they weigh about 950 grains.
I figure it will take at least 200 gr to shoot out of a 62 # bow
Is it worth it or will they just drop out of sight

just from what little i know, you are looking at 15 gr per pound arrow weight, and i take it you dont have the points installed yet. your bow should be quiet pushing that weight but your flight may not be good. it will be hard to get a straight flight in my opinion. i would go with something spine closer to your bow weight.

Dang, Steve. You going water buffalo hunting or something???

I like heavy arrows, but IMO that is overkill. I like about 10gr per pound of bow weight. But most of my weight is up front. Personally, I would pass unless I was just wanting to see what they would do.
