Anyone else going? I'll be staying close by in an Airbnb

Anyone know if taking the 4 wheeler would be beneficial? Or are the only places you can take it where you can take a truck? I'm planning on going Wednesday to do some scouting before Saturday and staying till Monday morning

Remember that it is earn a buck, and also has antler restrictions… on a 2 day hunt. Not sure why they can have longer hunts in other places, but they refuse to in this location with those restrictions. People do some crazy things with that pressure.

No atvs. Pack a lunch and stay in your stand all day. Don't drag out the deer, quarter it and carry it out

Yep , don't get it. Should definitely be a 3 day hunt under the circumstances or have an antlerless bow hunt prior for the ones that draw gun hunts and give them a chance to harvest their doe and then buck hunt on the two day gun hunt. Antler restrictions, earn a Buck , rough odds for a buck on a two day hunt. As others have said No ATVs. Walk in only. There are only a handful of places to park for 75 people .Good luck this weekend to all that got drawn.

Arrived yesterday afternoon around 3:45 unload at the Airbnb and went for a drive through the wma. Just driving through during the last hour or so of daylight I saw 14 doe and not the first buck. Back in this morning and first spot I checked out I found some really good sign( bedding and transition area lots of rubs, and a scrape line) and jumped another 4 deer but couldn't tell what was in the group. Came out for some important paperwork and food , will be going back in about an hour and do some heavy scouting.

Guys might have to man a check station to check 30 deer for too long!

My son got drawn but has a playoff game up above Knoxville tonight so we won't be there until Saturday evening. I'm still trying to decide if we're going to get a place to stay or just drive back n forth. For future hunts, What bnb are yall staying at?

I've never had one stop to talk, check or anything else just wave and carry on. They usually act like they don't want to be bothered when ever I took one to the checking station. Once the mobile check in came into play that's the first thing they asked about.

Yuchi seems like a prime candidate for TWRA to experiment with the 45 day hunts like Kentucky offers. Very doable with archery tackle and you would still be able to have your gun hunts for the herd management piece.

We made it but it was around 4:00 when we got here. We aren't where I want to be but we're in the woods lol hoping we can catch a doe slip out to the edge of the field behind the ranger station. There's a guy next to the rock pile I'm about positive it was him that just shot. Any of yall need help this evening shoot me a text 423-458-nine nine seven 0

Definitely slow this morning. Where are you? I'm parked just before the church in the brown f150 with a log chain on the front
I was about 2 miles in on left didn't see a deer this morning. Had someone come in set up a ground blind at 40yards on me. People sucks

Could have killed a truck load of does and small fellas like this one. Did find a stud of a dead head though! ( looked like ehd but it could have been gunshot, but I didn't see anything that looked like a shot)
And all in all had a good time and met a few good people.
Overall summary: in 4 days I walked around 20 miles and saw 63 deer ( I'm sure some were the same ones) and killed a big doe. Would recommend 8.5 out of 10!
