10/22 trigger ??

any tip for making the trigger lighter pull? Also has anyone used the volquartsen trigger , is it worth $200.00??? thanks for any help..

You could get the Volquartsen hammer, pins, and bushings and put them in your stock trigger group yourself. I imagine that would work pretty well but don't have first hand experience. I am also confident the $200 VQ trigger would be very nice. Plateau Hunter

I've had these guys do a couple at different times for me and was satisfied. Mine came back with a nice crisp slightly over 2 pound trigger with an overtravel screw installed for minimal overtravel. I was a satisfied customer.

If you want to get out cheap,get the Volquartsen hammer kit.I've put several in friends guns and they were very happy.Yes,the Volquartsen trigger group is well worth the money.

I was going to put a jewel trigger in my 10/22 target and my gunsmith talked me out of it.

He said you are gonna spend too much money for no reason.
He said I can do a trigger job that will make it just as good.
Not sure if it is as good or not but it only cost me $30.00 and I love it.

i have had a trigger job done on it {pollishing and some springs changed} but it is still not what it should be.How does the hammer kit lighten the trigger pull?

I have two of the Volquartsen trigger assemblies in a 10/22 and a 10/22 converted to .17 HM2. Both are outstanding and ultra reliable. I have Jewell triggers in all my bolt action guns and for what a 10/22 is gonna be used for, the Volquartsen stacks up pretty good.

Yea,I've done the whole polishing and spring swapping and wasn't happy with that either.I'm not sure how the hammer kit works to change it but it really does make a difference.

Whatever you do, don't ever try a Kidd 10/22 trigger. They're way too expensive, but if you every make the mistake of trying one you'll find yourself inexplicably spending the money. (Ask me how I know). Just a fair warning, don't find a buddy that has one, don't ever try mine if I offer, and whatever you do, don't go to the website at coolguyguns.com. I still don't understand how something can be way too much money, but worth every penny at the same time. :grin:

This. The VolQ's have a great reputation and a ton of them are dropped into 10/22's.

The Voltsquartsen is a great trigger, I was super impressed with one and ready to order.... until I dropped the hammer on my machinist's Kidd... Costly mistake, but I can't seem to get the smile off my face when I shoot the gun now...
