Any of you guys store any of 00 buck for SHTF?? I've been looking around on the net at some and found 250 for $107,which from what i've seen is a good deal.Im always buying ammo for my rifles, but have several 12ga's and only a couple boxes of shells. So I think im gonna get some 00 buck strictly for a SHTF scenario and store it.Can anyone recommend some good/CHEAP 00 buck? Its hard to argue with a 12ga loaded with 00buck..LOL

I just pick up a 15 round box of the Remington stuff when I go to Wal-mart. Its only $15.47 a box and I now have a SAW can stuffed full

Out this way you can get 2.75" 00buck from wal-mart for $8 and some change for a 15 round box. I have about 150rds of buck as well as 150rds of 2.75" slugs put up.

a shell loaded with "dimes" will destroy a sheet of plywood at close range

I love it!

That is interesting and rather ingenious to say the least. Was that a "watch this" kind of thing, or a scientific type experiment with "wonder what 8 dimes vs 7 dimes will do", or just something done over a MECC loader with "loaded" loader! :D

PS Is that an original from Chaneylake or just what else can be safely loaded into a shotgun shell?

i think 00 buck is the best all-around defense, but if you wanna be awesome, you should get 3 inch 000 magnums. I personally plan to load up on slugs and 00 just cause theyre cheaper.

i prefer #6 shot over buckshot for defensive loads in the house. less likely to shoot through the wall and hit unintended victims.

I keep a shotgun loaded with 00 Buck for home defense. Bought up some when we were having problems with home invasions in my neighborhood a few years ago. Purchased them at Wally World and do not remember what I paid for them.
