Absolutely not! Unless mandatory by landowner in order to
Hunt.
Bump, now's the time to prepare for next seasons hatch!
how does one prepare for next seasons hatch if you don't want to hurt the coon population?
Reason I ask is I'm a coonhunter too, I hunt curs and our mission is to exterminate the coon populations. I know I can't remove every coon since you can not legally shoot them out now. But my dogs catch as many on the ground as they tree so we are still taking coons legally.

I never take more than 1 per tree… depletes population and makes dog want to return to trees
Don't you know this is what they want? they are not trying to sustain the coon population so you can hunt another night. They want them killed so the Turkey nests stand a better chance of raising a flock. I been coon hunting since the early 60's lol. have seen a truck bed full of coons after a couple days hunt, there use to be a market for them skinned or whole, fur buyers were happy either way.

Yes sir im well aware. I've been hunting 3-4 nights/week for 15 years now. Keeping 1 dog tuned in is tough. Raised current dog from a pup(from scratch!no pup trainer) Competition hunt him as well. I'd rather keep hunting spots I have vs shoot out 4 coons in one tree,,,, causing bad habits like mentioned above

Very rarely knock any out@My spots Close to home. Not sure where ur from but private land permission is nearly obsolete here.

Not trying to be argumentative at all. I was just confused that you were marketing yourself as a saver of poults and a solution for people with coon problems. I understand exactly what your after and being more transparent would probably help you gain access to more properties to hunt.
