looks like a light phase green sunfish. i count 10 dorsal spines and 3 anal spines. also the faint black patch on the 2nd dorsal. they can have the brown red eye coloration as well. usually the red eyes on a rock bass or warmouth is during the spawn.
rock bass likes current but greenies like slack water like warmouth.
thats a nice specimen for either but id lay a filet knife to it. green sunfish are like teenage boys, aggressive and likes to try to screw everything. they can ruin a small lake or pond.
