I suspect the Bushnell will suffice, but if you think one of you will continue to use the optics going forward for years to come, most will likely recommend Burris Fastfire 3, Vortex Venom or Holosun HS407C. I have a Holosun 507c and Fastfire 3, but have not used them in the field as much as some of the die-hard red dot guys on here. Hopefully they will chime in and give you some suggestions.

Whatever you do check the battery compartment and read about complaints. I use a Swampfox kingslayer on mine because I like the green circle dot, it comes 3 different ways also red dot or red circle dot. The battery simply slides in the side after you loosen some screws. A buddy of mine bought a vortex venom and brought his gun over yesterday to get me to help set up. He had a hard time getting the battery cover screwed on. After I watched him I am glad I went kingslayer, I am sure the vortex is great but I am not that patient with things like that! Lol

X2 on fast fire or something similar. Would also recommend a check riser because it will sit high and forces you to raise your check off the buttstock. That's my only complaint about them.
Yeah I switched to a Sumtoy low profile mount and it brought the sight way down. Topped it with a vortex venom and a Carlsons choke.

I put a sumtoy on my 20 with a FF3. First time I've used a red dot so hope to find out tomorrow how I like it. This is TSS 9's at 20 yards. Only pic I took.

I've got a truglo gobble stopper on mine and my son's 410. It does fine on his 301. Look at pattern master code black or Indian creek with apex for shells. I'm shooting a Jeb's out of my tri-star with rogue ammo. This is 40 yards.

Do you know if the bushnells will work with the sumtoy mount? I've emailed them and haven't gotten much help. The guy basically said "I don't know". Guess I will have to call and speak with someone Monday.

I just use the factory choke and bushnell reddot. Both seem perfectly fine for me shooting apex ammo. I picked up the 20ga as well. Will probably use what came on it or maybe change it out to something else. I've not decided. I've used a 835 for years with just the front bead. Looking forward to carrying the 20 this year.
