Is it normal to catch a lot of drum while sauger fishing? I'm just getting started with sauger and seem to be catching more drum than sauger. Caught a 9 pounder yesterday.

yep they bite as well in winter as they do in summer. if there are SM around you might catch some of those too. theyll follow drum schools around to pick off crawfish they stir up.

good eating too, most of the time out of clean water.
