Gould’s Turkey Down

Went down to Sonora, Mexico to hunt Gould's with a bow last weekend.. 13 yard shot with a 2 3/4" Vortex broadhead and the turkey didn't take a step.

Crazy to see the terrain those turkeys live in..

Looks like a descent size bird. How do their size compare to easterns here?

Spurs and beards are typically shorter but overall size is bigger..

Hunt of a lifetime. I love seeing the 2.75" Vortex as I killed a lot of TN deer with that broadhead in the 90s and 2000s. Great pics and great hunt, thanks for sharing.

That is a beautiful bird. Congratulations! I would imagine a lot of spurs and beards get broken off in that kind of terrain.
