If you can find some, try the Apex, turkey loads. They have some pretty impressive video of a .410 over and under being shot @ 40 yards. It's a little higher but you get more shells. I have 2 boxes but, I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I have never seen nor tried Apex but I have heard good things about the shells they make. I believe they have a 9.5 load for a 410. I will try it if I ever see some. I bought the gun today , got 3 boxes of Federal ammo which I do like and that is the results 3 shots later. That is for sure a dead gobbler all day long! Hillbilly Fab I just got home from Church and found one wad with a flashlight. Here you go!

Good deal. That looks a lot better than our experience with them.

Mega I usually never shoot my 20 gauge over 35 yards although I pattern them at 40 and they are more than capable from that distance. I just enjoy letting them come on to around 30 35. I will continue to experiment with different loads out of the gun as I find them . The Apex Ninja looks like a good load it's 9.5 . I have not seen any 10 shot. Is that hand loads or does a certain company have them out? That Federal load will definitely do it at 30 but if I can get an even better pattern I will definitely move in that direction with the gun.

I've never seen 10 shot in a commercial load. I have some and I've loaded it to try, but my gun actually patterned better with 9s and 9.5s. .410s are quirky but fun.

Southern that is one thing I liked about the Federal shell , I put the red dot on and lined it up with the bead and slightly above it. The first shot was low but dead on and uniform. I simply moved the scope up and the pattern stayed dead on and as uniform as can be. That shot was shot #3 at 30 yards. I always put the dot at the base of the neck and have my pattern hitting a little high and covering the head and neck area. My point is the Federal shell moved with my adjustment and held true each time . My 20 gauge 301 T is the same way with the Federal the gun will shoot with any 20 gauge I have. I think I will try the Apex 9.5 load at some point as I would like to see if I can get it even better but I would not hesitate to hunt with the gun today if season opened.
