This is a Screencast of one of my spypoints. I've downloaded all newest updates, recommended batteries, recommended card. I purchased two hoping that one was just a dud maybe but the second is just the same. I like the app and way its setup but the quality kills it for me. I underatamd they are 100$ when on sale but I think the picture quality has got to be better even for a 100$ camera. I wont buy anymore. I really want to try another brand but don't k on what direction to go to be priced in the vicinity as the spypoint with even just minor improved quality id buy 10 lol

This is the standard quality image that is sent to my phone. If I want something sharper then I have to purchase the upgraded HD image at an added cost.

Are you sure it was transmitted because the magnifying glass in the top left corner suggests it's a pic on a computer.
Reveal pic above was transmitted to Tactacam Reveal app, saved to a smartphone, saved to Imgur for ease of sharing, and uploaded here for easy viewing. No manipulation whatsoever.

Good deal. I hope Tactacam blows it out of the water. They need to add the free pics each month and the referral benefit along with first month free and I'll give them a try.
Anything other than the free pictures on the spypoint referral is a SCAM!!!! I sent in the to get money back on micro and I've yet to see anything on it, and that was in December/January. When asked they had no one with the email that was my referral.

I don't know about the rebate. It states several months to receive. I opt for the spydollars. I just got $15 this weekend from a referral. It is instant. The new app is missing the option to pay with spydollars but it will be updated soon. I emailed Spypoint and they replied back same day.

The last interaction I had with them was very poor. I found my micro packed full of ants. Ended up breaking the battery box and had to get a new. They got me to where I needed to go to order the box but never once mentioned the camera full of ants. If it's full of ants they ain't waterproof. I was a bit aggravated. I would have much rather got $50 back for the micro or $100 back from getting an evo than a months worth of pictures. I've already paid for a years worth of 1000 pictures on 2 cameras.

Wow! That is a real ant infestation.
I wonder if maybe spraying camera with permethrin or putting cotton balls treated with permethrin wouldn't help.

Or they could seal like they're supposed to lol. I was highly frustrated when I found it in this condition. I like their cameras but their customer service will be their downfall.

Also, with the permethrin it wouldn't be the worst idea. But I'd rather not check the cameras unless the batteries die. But after a few weeks the permethrin would be gone and I'd still run the risk of an infestation.

None are waterproof. They all have some water resistance rating and the ratings vary. I will spray my tree belts and put a treated cotton ball in the battery area from now forward after seeing this mess.

I'm sure they fried the electronics. Little buggers can find a hole for sure!

Your Tactacam Reveal camera is totally independent of your cell phone and cell phone plan. Tactacam Reveal is offered with AT&T service or Verizon service. The price is the same for the camera, regardless of the cellular plan you prefer. Just make sure you order the Reveal camera with the plan you prefer for the area the camera will be used the most. The camera will either be "Tactacam Reveal - AT&T" or "Tactacam Reveal - Verizon". Instructions to set camera up come in the box. You will need a smartphone so you can download the Reveal app, setup camera, setup payment options, and receive pics from the camera once it is deployed in the field. Pretty simple overall and their customer service has been good the few times I called them with general questions about camera, app, features, payments, etc.

They've damaged the camera some. It doesn't take a good colored photo like it once did. The worst part was trying to clean it up when I first found it. Tried to knock the batteries out and it broke part of battery box. Sprayed some chemical to kill the ants and it softened the plastic and made the finish run some. Thinking I used carb cleaner lol. Plastic was very sticky for a few days but finally straightened up lol. Just a stinking mess.

Set my cell linknout and it worked for 3 days went and reset it July 27th and it quit sending pics once a day on August 4th. I'm not gonna go reset it until next week. Here's a preview pic before the fail.

The pictures the camera sends to phone are not great quality most of the time but if you pull the card the quality improves. I know the purpose of the cell camera is to not have to pull cards as much and it works for that. The cell picture give you a general idea of what's on camera and in the area.

On these cams, you can also hit the "full HD" button to receive a full HD copy.

I agree that the camera is not the highest quality, but so far been very happy with battery (I have it set to send pics 2 times per day) and after 2 weeks still on 90+% battery.

It also is very reliable in terms of taking pictures. I've tested it in various scenarios and both cams have done well.

Here is a transmitted image from a $99 cellular camera. Lithium batteries, high speed class 10 SD card, and good cellular signal at this location. Like I said, a lot of other variables need to be examined over time before I would recommend the camera. The photo quality appears to be legit for $99. This is on 12 megapixel setting on the camera too, not the highest setting 24 megapixel.

Are you still happy with it Andy? I know it's only been 3 weeks
