Well I am really surprised at how it turned out to say the least!
First of all nobody picked the bait that caught the most and secondly only two fish ate the whacky worm!!!! The second one was literally 5 minutes before we left too!
We got almost to where we were gonna start and Man had some rigging to do so I just started throwing the fluke around.
Nothing happened so I picked up the green tomato red eye and the third cast produced the big fish of the day plus another good solid fish and another that got off.
That spot dies quickly every time so we moved on.
We threw everything multiple times during the day and nothing was working and there was no pattern to them that we could reproduce with any consistency.
Final count was 11 bass on the green tomato and TWO on the junebug whacky worm!!!
Never seen a day on the 1,000 acre lake that they wouldn't eat a whacky worm!!!
6 hours of hard fishing with only 13 bass.
I have had many worse days and the weather was GREAT so I was blessed.
Guess I will come up with another goofy contest next weekend lol
