I have killed a bird on opening day for as long as I can remember but I didn't hear anything close Saturday. I did call in 2 jakes that came in silent around 12:00. A guy from work went with me and he hasn't killed very many birds, I told him to shoot if he wanted to and he did, he was happy .
Today was rough also. Only heard a couple this morning and they were far off. Left at 9:00 to try somewhere else, not much better there but with determination and a lot of patience I finally got one to play at 2:00.
