Trolled the planer boards yesterday and after a while of searching and different presentations at different depths I finally got in the groove. Didn't take long after that. All were caught at 4ft deep in 12-15 of water. They were just suspended up top so I figured I'd give it to em. Yesterday's preference was more darker colors (blue/black/chartr) or blue/black. Had a lot of kids stay over at night with my boy or else I was gonna go today but I'll be on the refuge tomorrow between rains.

 Congrats, nice eating this early in the season. Did you catch them up river or down toward Harrison? I love going down to Harrison Bay and Wolftever but it's a good hour from the house :bash: . When it warms up a bit and I'm off work I'm going to try out of Blue Springs on Watts Bar... lately timing SUCKS.

Wolftever was exactly where I was actually. That is a haul for you. With you in Sweetwater I highly suggest heading over to Razor Landing on Tellico and trolling. Last season we consistently caught some of the biggest limits ever there.

Very nice. I hit Percy Priest in middle Tennessee yesterday and managed a few but I wasn't pulling planers. Also caught them in 12-15 foot of water. They were suspended about 6-8 foot. Water temp was 48.

Is there an advantage in pulling planers versus spider rigging in front or is it just how you set up your boat?

John,

I see Admiral Boog is in command of the vessel. Try not catch all before I get there.

Yup. You know him. We only had to make a toliet paper dash for the bank 2 times this trip for the old man. Hurry home so we can go. We're gonna go turkey hunting too. I got em tied up for you. I just don't know what I'm doing.

If you're buddy has some birds on him we should try to get the kids out there. I would rather do that than kill them myself.

As for Boog he is as always consistent. Were you in the big bay or the honey hole?

Carry on.
