3 of the last 4 years at my place in Perry Co, the last few days of November and first couple of December have been the best for daylight camera sightings of mature deer.
About 30 minutes into the video he starts talking about it. Open gun season on Saturday before Thanksgiving and close it the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Then bow only open for 12 days then reopen gun. I am mad again lol
I am still pissed..lol.
1) Limited vacation days and long work commutes makes some people have to utilize the weekends and holidays more than others.
2) TN weather is up and down in November and it does effect deer movement. Possibly some of the best days the season might not be open. That...
Only killed one. We had no pictures of him. I saw him at 12:00ish PM on 11/23 with a couple of does on my way in for an evening hunt. The next morning I set up on a rubline/trail real close to where I saw him. It is a rubline/trail that I know big deer have used for years. It is almost like...
I think he is wrong..lol. Unless that is a small body deer he is bigger than that (the body looks like a pig in the picture, but nothing for reference to see for sure).

Got my best in 2013. 159-3/4 green gross (155 gross as an 8 pnt) - 151-7/8 green net. He has 5.5in bases, 12.75in G2s, and a 19.75in inside spread
Seeing this reminded me that I need to get him officially scored. Me and BSK could never get on the same page to git r done! lol. Here he is on the wall.
That I can remember, it is the only way I personally have seen/killed good bucks late season. I do know this...if I am cold in the stand and I get down. I can remove several layers of clothing and still be warm because I am moving around.
