Someone help an old man out! Which is the best easiest to use system for your money? I guess I should state I am a Crappie fisherman. All help is appreciated.

And this is why I don't have a live scope. I do have a nice pair of polarized sunglasses though.
That's the 15" screen.. the 12" is maybe 1500.00

If you're crappie fishing… don't do this. Spend the money and get the pole so you can keep your eyes on the fish. Spotlock 20-25' off of them and cast to them. With the troller mount your screen will be looking at where you're going, not where the fish are
I've been running livescope for 5 years now.. had it on two different hand operated mounts.. I prefer the trolling motor mount 100-1 over the hand operated.. I never use spot lock.. mainly constantly on the trolling motor scanning for big suspended fish.. if they are not over a pound, I don't even try for them.. once I find one, I hit the crappie brakes and cast to it..
To each his own. When I first got LS I had it on a pole and later decided to put it on the TM. It's hands down better on the TM for me. I rarely use spot lock unless I'm retieing or dealing with a fish.

From what little I've seen and done with LS, alignment is everything.

Something like this if I was starting out. I would probably make my own pole out of pvc pipe or aluminum and mount the transducer on it and see how I like it after getting familiar with with it. Then you can spend the bucks on the trolling motor mount or the hand mount pole for the way that you decide you want it if you want .
Also the 93sv is big enough to work fine. This is basically what i have , lvs 32 and the garmin 93sv and I made my own mount and pole out of aluminum tubing. Easy swivel around and deploy when I get to the lake.
I know I would not like it on the trolling motor mount. I fish by myself most of the time and can manage to use the hand pole mount and fish at the same time with a foot controlled trolling motor and chase them when they are moving in open water. After you get use to it, then you can upgrade to larger screens if you feel the need or you might decide you don't like any of it.
I caught crappie and other fish long before livescope or all the other depth/fish finders and sometimes think about getting rid of all of it. I do have MinnKota Talon anchors and would not consider getting rid of them.

I was thinking of the motorized mount that mounts to the shaft.

Something to keep in mind- side imaging will be used almost from the driver seat and live sonar at the trolling motor. Sounds like you need 2 units

I have active target 2 and really like it. Lowrance now makes a budget version foreard gaving sonar kit/graph for under 900.00. Watch better days fishing for details. He fills the boat with crappie every day with it

So far I've just used the down/live fishing for sauger. It's not super useful for that because they hold right on the bottom but I've caught a few I would have likely missed if I didn't see them coming up to the jig. It's helped me dodge a few snags too… not $800 worth of jigs yet. It only has 1 forward cone (instead of 3) and 1 down sonar cone but it's $800-$1000 instead of $3k+. Fo me it's worth it. I like to use it split between down live and gps when I'm jigging. I can't justify $4-5k in electronics for the fishing I do but I like the EE 9 up front and another unit at the console/tiller.
Well that's what I'm thinking. I'm not fishing just a ton. And I don't see spending that much on one

I had a 4 or 5" black and white screen without gps up front. It was good for depth and temp but not a whole lot else. This was a huge upgrade for me. A 9" screen will ruin you if you're used to the small ones.
I am not used to any of them. I'm new to all this at 43 yrs old
It has taken me about 3 years to learn all my electronics but I catch fish every time I go now. It's worth it to me but remember the fish don't come out waving the white flag just because your electronics like some people think. It takes time to learn what your looking at and how it all works together.
