I would say it's good to go barnes 120tsx over varget ahooting a tikka t3x 20in barrel. Not sure on speed yet will test Sunday.
This tikka was a little of a pain took 60ish rounds to find a load7-08 is kinda like a 308. It's not hard to get them to shoot.
Well you cant blame that load if you miss! Should be flat and it should hammer a whitetail. So looks like my speed ended up at an average of 3010fps
I got varget to shoot for me but im way above max with that said I have zero pressure sign so i was ok barnes likes a jump and fast i did test some 4064 but it didn't pan outGonna start on some 7mm08 loads soon, just curious what a good powder start is. Have read a lot that Varget is really good with it or but others really like Staball 6.5 or Ramshot Big Game. This is all kinda new to me so I dont have non shotgun powders laying around and cant really afford to buy a few different ones to start with lol. Was planning on using 140-150 Nosler AB or same range in tipped gamekings to start.

my bergara 7mm-08 didn't like anything 140 grain... but it seemed to do great with 120 NBT and staball 6.5, I gotta switch my guns after deer season because trying to shoot bobcats and coyotes it kinda makes a messGonna start on some 7mm08 loads soon, just curious what a good powder start is.
