All of my best traditional scrapes are under Beech trees.

Mine are under Cedar trees. I have one tree that had 4 scrapes under it, now it is one scrape that is 8'-10' long!

This time of year, it's unpredictable upon future years. I hope for BSK and family, he is. What a great deer. Hope he makes it and they get a shot at him next year

We don't really see very many new bucks like this show up this late in the season. We have seen some show up this time of year that we haven't seen since August, but no new unexpected ones.

Just looked at several cams we haven't looked at since about mid-November…..it was as expected on a very low acorn year, about a 2-3 week delay in rut activity. Daylight and surge in general was last few days of November and first week of December.

Unfortunately for me (hunting wise), I started my new job 11/11 (2 days after muzzy opener), and I couldn't take any days off. If I were able, definitely would have taken time off during that period, rather than my usual first 3 weeks in November.

We don't really see very many new bucks like this show up this late in the season. We have seen some show up this time of year that we haven't seen since August, but no new unexpected ones.

I get bucks that I only see in winter, but usually the only new ones are yearlings and 2yr olds. But it's pretty normal that I have a winter crew that I never see in summer or fall. About the time bucks group back up is when they show up.
