Best backpack

The other backpack got me thinking, what's the best pack to carry out in the woods? I have a birthday around the corner so I'd figure I'll ask for one. I don't want nothin INSANELY big, keep it small, compact and within a good price range 50-120 bucks probably. Don't want anything to crazy now so feel free to throw your suggestions down below! Thanks y'all!

Nothing fancy needed but have been thinking about a new 1 as I cant afford a new gun lol , I would like 1 pocket that was padded and water proof to put my phone and kindle in it , thanks for reminding me to start looking, I will make sure the wife knows it's your fault

I recently purchased a Mystery Ranch Gallagator. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks like its going work for my needs. Its pretty small at 19 liters (I think), so not a multi day pack. It is also in your price range.

Mystery Ranch are quality packs so if you can get one you like in your range jump on it. I have 2 that are multi day packs and I also have a really nice Alice Pack from tactical tailor. But those are usually used when I am actually back country hunting. For a regular all day sit in the stand I use the ones from Academy Sports this one has served me well and at the price I bought multiple bags that I keep for different uses deer hunting, turkey, and fishing since I tend to keep all my stuff sperated. Have had them about 3 to 4 years with no issues.

1 thing I don't like or need is a waist strap, wasted accessory for a day pack, a chest strap is a needed part though, a small set of binocks on a chest harness and you are set, going to buy another small set of Nikons again after ruining my first pair. very handy for scouting or hunting any thing. I am searching amazon looking for a new buddy lol

You didnt say if you were still hunting, or hauling stuff to your stand....where it will be taken off. That said, if my plan is a still hunt, I will almost always use this one. It isnt much bigger than your little brother's lunchbox, so you cant really weigh yourself down. But the number one selling point for me....no thick shoulder strap on my right side. I shoot right handed, and heavy padded straps mess with my ability to shoot. It has multiple attachment places, to add to if needed. Also, they are usually under 25 dollars.

I prefer a cover over the main compartment opening to help stop rain, zippers might stop rain but I prefer a cover to make sure, think my current has a draw string with a flap over it, don't remember it ever getting water into it, never put anything but water into you water bladder cause ya cant get the taste out also. Never put JD into a plastic canteen either :eek:

Bought a RUSH12 2.0 , l will see how well it holds up this season, coarse if like last season my pack stayed home with me most of the season lol , I like it a lot, good reviews old pack was 10-15 years old best I can remember
