Which one is bigger

Since akachuck done a couple of his bucks, here is 2 decent bucks of mine. Which is bigger? I know some may know, don't ruin it for the rest.

In my opinion the 11 ( I think it's a 11) both are beautiful deer, it just looks wider. I don't know my reasoning just going with my gut

Both great deer and I'd happily take either one. But for the sport of it, I'll guess the 11 is bigger

The other buck is 16 inside and almost was an 11 but missed by an 1/8 inch, so he's a 10. But just remember width don't mean much in b/c score that's on 1 1/2 inch difference on these 2 bucks.

My apologies, them 2 little points made me think it was a 11. The one on the right is the widest imo

Thanks buddy, I'm humbled to take deer like this because where I live it doesn't happen often at least not by most hunters I know around here. It took a lot of passing other bucks and honestly going back to the house empty handed. The buck on left is a East Tennessee mountain buck and the one on the right is an east Kentucky mountain buck. Very happy with both.

The one on the barn should measure bigger. Did i understand you say that they are within 1.5 inches of each other? I didn't expect a huge difference but i thought it was a little more obvious than that. Heck, i might have even picked the wrong one lol

1.5 in width, 4 inches difference in gross score

Considering racks get most of their score from tine length, I'm going to give the higher score to the one on the left, on the barn. Not only is that extra tine off his right base pretty long, his beams are quite long as well, almost touching in the front. That will add to the score.

Oh well crap. That throws a wrench in my vote, then. I thought they were both 11's, hence guessing the 11 was the bigger.

Both great bucks. Would be happy to get a shot at one like those. I think the one on the right scores higher. Looks to me like longer beams and tines, but not quite the mass of the one on the barn. Congratulations on both.

Buddy I told you 4 inch difference earlier, it was actually 8.

Okay so if you chose the barn buck you're right. He's my biggest Tennessee buck and my second biggest in over 20 years of hunting. He scored 145 1/2. The other one I killed in Kentucky and he scored 137 1/2. Very blessed to take both these deer. Actually killed them in back to back years.

Man I had to go through about 10,000 pics and still didn't really find good ones. The one with me in the pic and the second pic of bases is same deer. Killed these deer on Wednesday's in consecutive muzzy seasons many moons ago

Yes both are. The non bladed buck was officially gross scored at 143 3/8 and the other one was never scored but I feel like it comes in a few inches under that one

It will, I was actually very spoiled. I ended up killing these two back to back and the next year took 2 a month apart that were both 120s, a 9 and 10 ( I thought they were both 130s). No biggie though I'm after the most mature deer not just what's on their head. Then within a month of that (Tennessee season ended) I went to Alabama to spend time with wife's family. We have 3 acres off guntersville lake, it was left to my wife, I've only walked it once. Anyway I decided I'd hunt it, my luck was to good at the time not to, lol. Well within an hour on the windiest day I've ever set in the woods I killed one of the oldest bucks I've ever taken. His rack was messed up a bit but if he had both sides that matched, he'd been 120 also. Well over 200 pds and I'm not sure how, he didn't have many teeth in his head. I was on a roll, then last year beat me up, I never seen a mature buck out the stand. Oooo the highs and lows of hunting.

In my experiences, the worst thing that can happen is a string of success. Then you start thinking, "You know what, I think I've got these deer figured out." That's the death knell of successful hunting!

What part of Carroll you hunt I use to hunt over on the Benton line. They called it Camden even though that was in Benton co. I know it was Carroll co. Anyway I was told not to come back. Long story. I did end up with a decent 10 out of the deal though.
