Magazine restrictions

I am going to use my AR 10 to deer hunt with. can i use a 20 rdmag? 30 rd mag? I thought that we did have a law stating that we couldnt possess a gun or magazine capable of holding more than 5 rds?.... Ive looked all through the hunting guide and i cant find anything about a magazine retriction. Thanks..

There was such a law, but it was about 40 years ago.

The only magazine restrictions for hunting in TN are for shotguns while hunting migratory bird (limited to 3 shells, total). Otherwise, there are no magazine restrictions.
