Lucky Limit

Hunted a random place on public ground in the hills this morning. Heard a hickory nut fall about 100 yards to my left and decided to re-route. I got lucky and killed 7 out of one tree. Walked under 50 hickory trees and they had sampled 1 and completely wore out 1. Didn't appear to be much mast or many squirrels.

Congrats! 7 from one tree is strong. My experience was similar to yours. Zig zagged over 25 acres and found three hickory trees they were concentrated on.
