Went out there with my son scalloping. We were in a 1648 Grzzly Tracker which he fished the area with for a couple of years. That scalloping trip was like one big party out a mile or two from shore.looks like a great time, fished it a couple times myself. Also it's great scalloping if you've never tried it. Congratulations

Exactly what I was thinking... feeling sorry for his mate/ wife cleaning those!Nice! Those Sheepshead are great eating but miserable to clean. Those scales are like kevlar armor.
I know tastes are different, but mackerel sushi isn't my favorite. I can eat it, just prefer the more mild fishes....like squid...or even octopus (kinda chewy). Mackerel being an oily fish is just a little strong for me.Awesome!
That hogfish is one of the best tasting fish in the sea.
And if you have the chance and they are still fresh, try those mackerel as sushi. Way better raw than cooked.
Sushi tonight one fish and smoking other one.Awesome!

That's a heck of a boat to be a mile out on. But the gulf side vs the Atlantic side a mile out is way different. So I'd say you must have been in the gulf.Went out there with my son scalloping. On a calm day...the Gulf can be terrifying and storms come out of nowhere. That's a heck of a boat to be a mile out on. But the gulf side vs the Atlantic side a mile out is way different. So I'd say you must have been in the gulf.
