Yamaha Bruin/ATV oil change question??

i have gotten a Yamaha Bruin (2004) from my dad and it hasn't been rode in about 3 years. I need to change the oil and clean the carb, does anyone know how much oil it actually holds? i can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.

also what type of oil is best to use??

Answered on the other post too - Just an FYI on the carb. If it wasn't run dry after it's last run (3 years ago you said), you may find replacing it to be the best option. I just put a new carb on my 1995 Honda Foreman and it cured everything once and for all. No more trying to clean a gummed up carb when they are this cheap on E-Bay. For your model $95.

Also 5w-40 full synthetic - Shell Rotella. get it at Wal Mart in Gallon jugs.

the only oil I run in anything now is amsoil. mowers weed eaters tractors trucks fourwheeler all and It is just crazy good. but something synthetic for sure.

Go to amsoil website and type in year and make and you'll see exactly how much and what kind they recommend.
