I want to do this on our place. We've got a couple ponds that I see wood ducks on somewhat frequently. Are there any dimensions or plans I need to take into consideration?
I have the dimensions in my shop. I will get them to you tonight if you don't hear anything sooner. I also hinge the top so they can be cleaned out every so often.

At one time, although it's been a long time, TWRA had boxes for the asking. The only requirement was to keep a log of use and number of of eggs hatched and then report that info to the TWRA. It was a chore keeping the coons out of them but we kept after them and the production rate went way up.

they are already nesting. They start looking for spots in late February. We have a number on our pond and watch them going in and out of the boxes. Simply amazing to watch. I had a sheet metal shop make me coon baffles for out post and trees to keep the coons out
