When?

When is the best time to look? And is it worth your time to look around lake areas that when the water is down it is known to have pottery artifacts, etc around. Would this be a place to find arrowheads and such?

I'm not pro at it but I would say anytime is best to look.

Lakes would be good to look around for artifacts. It get confusing for me there cause I am not sure if its legal to pick up or not.

Rusty, I have found arrowheads on South Holston lake when it was down.

I pretty sure its legal to pick up as long as its not some type of refuge or burial ground....but I've been wrong before.
