Had a great hunt this morning, had one come in bout 8 o'clock and three hens met him at about 30 yards in front of me. He drummed the whole time and even got to see him breed one of the hens, first time I ever saw that. My gosh it was thick, couldn't hardly make out the birds at times. What I could see was awesome. Man I love hunting those ole longbeards!!! Needless to say when I got an apportunity to do the dead, I seemed to look over one small detail. A small pine limb bout 10 yards away, and the ole bird got away. It happens from time to time, i'm not disappointed, just had a great time, miss or not.
