Sounds silly, but is actually quite rare for me to see a fawn this year with 1in antlers. Most buttons here don't break the skin, with the occasional acorn (1/4 to 1/2in nubs). Here's to hoping he is a 150in er in 4 more years!

Great picture! Yup, that's a button buck with hard antler. Rare in TN, but not so much in northern farm country.

positive, it's a fawn. Look how short his face is.

yearling bucks with antlers like this are the norm in south MS... But they are 80lbs and just a little over a year old in November/ December.
Yep, very common in Lafayette County, MS as well.

We have one this year....normal size button head body...little fella...but he has two maybe 1" little tips sticking up through the skin....another observation about this deer is that he is very active...we seen him on the move often.
