Threading barrel?

I have a Remington 700 ADL 260 Remington, the end of the barrel is 0.670”. Is it possible to thread that barrel? Thank you

1/2-28 threads could be cut on it.

Thanks folks. This is the only rifle I have that isn’t threaded. I’ve gotten used to shooting suppressed and just hate shooting normal now. I’ll get this thing to Cookeville

You could get by with a 5/8-24 but you might need a collar to get enough shoulder. I’ve never used them, but bugholes is all over the net, and several members here have used him. He’d have a solution for you.

SAAMI recommends a minimum of Ø.735 for 5/8-24 threads and Ø.610 for 1/2-28.
