So.. ended up taking this on a trade recently and before it becomes even more interesting to a point that I squirrel away another one, going to offer it here. What I know about it:

1) Serial number which matches on frame, barrel & cylinder… shows to be a 1921 production year
2) It appears to have been nickeled at some point in its history
3) It is BNP stamped and with the crowns as well .. so it was exported as a British Service Pistol at some point and made it back home
4) It is stamped .38 Special
5) The awesome factory SW grips on this one, were not the issued grips.

I'm going to ask $700.. and I would entertain trade offers.

And sadly, it was weaponless during the drive! A guy who use to do work for the company I work for, also restored/rebuilt/serviced tanks. His business is sitting inside 70 acres of tall fences, with razor wire atop. I took off riding with him one day in this one and he stopped at the bottom of a creek.. and said "here ya go, it's yours"… That thing was fun to drive! He had some old OLD type tanks inside that he was restoring at the time. I miss going there often for equipment build progress inspections. He had some guns Ill probably never have an opportunity to shoot again… that I had a BLAST burning rounds thru every time I went. Good times!

With my money you might buy a used pontoon boat and tie it up along the bank and call it your place on the river. ☺
